Dye Removal
For years, dye machine
boil-outs (cleanings) have been wrenching millions of dollars in
direct and indirect costs from the textile industry.
Plagued with time-consuming boil-out procedures, which
involve hazardous petroleum solvents, caustic and hydro,
companies lose four to six hours of production time
while cleaning dyes from
their jet, package and beam dyeing equipment. Often, one
boil-out is ineffective, resulting in more cleanings and
more equipment downtime.
One new product, Copia
BOS-130M, can help alleviate this frustrating
waste of money and time by reducing total dye boil-out
time to 45 minutes. And it is environmentally friendly- eradicating harmful
and costly Textile Mill Effluents. Covering each class
of dyestuffs (e.g. disperse, acid reactive, vat,
pigment, direct cationic, etc.), Copia
BOS-130M significantly cuts major production
and environmental clean-up costs for textile mills and
increases efficiency rates by 10 to 20 percent.
Trimer
Removal
Trimer
manifests itself in several ways- most commonly by
redepositing on fabric or yarn-dyed material. Much like
textile dye removal, procedures to remove
trimer can require three to six hours of cleaning and
more machine downtime for additional boil-outs.
Copia BOS-130M offers
complete, low temperature boil-outs at 140 degrees
Fahrenheit in 30 minutes. During the boil-out, it
emulsifies trimer (e.g. waxes, silicones and spinning
oils), allowing trimer to be flushed while in suspension. Copia
BOS-130M
also prevents the buildup of silicates in batch and continuous
bleaching during preparation stages.
